Tattoo FAQs
Yes we do! Being home to a growing number of excellent artists, we’re normally able to offer walk-in tattoos. Naturally, there will occassions where all of our artists are fully booked up, but we’ll be happy to check diaries and see how quickly we can arrange an appointment for you. Our artists all have big selections of flash designs, ready and available for you to choose from or they’re happy to work with you on custom pieces. Our opening times are 10.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday – Saturday and our last appointment time is 5pm.
We’re located in central Norwich, at 6 Pottergate, Norwich NR2 1DS, in the heart of The Lanes and just a few minutes from Norwich Market.
This will depend entirely on the design and artist. Our studio appointment minimum is £60, which will often cover small, simple tattoos, but you will receive a confirmed price from your artist – for your chosen tattoo design – during consultation.
The studio prefers payment by cash, but card payments and bank transfer are also available.
To make getting a tattoo as comfortable for you – and your body – as possible, we recommend making sure you come to your appointment well rest, well hydrated, have eaten a good meal on the day and come equipped with sugary snacks/drinks.
If you feel you’d be more comfortable if you brought a friend along with moral support, just mention this to your tattooist during the consultancy, but there shouldn’t be any issue.
It’s important to take extra gentle care with your tattoo while it heals. Having your tattoo heal well is essential in – not only minimising any risk of infection – but also ensuring the colours stay vivid and details age well and retain their clarity over time. Once your tattoo has been complete, your artist will walk you through their recommendations in taking care of your new tattoo and making sure you understand. Please note, some of our artists may use products such as Second Skin, so the following walkthrough may not be directly applicable.
Around 6-8 hours after your tattoo has been complete, gently remove the wrap/dressing from your tattoo. You should then softly wash your tattoo with warm, soapy water. The dressing removal and cleansing can be done under a quick warm shower. You should then pat your fresh tattoo dry with a clean paper towel and moisturise lightly with a product like coco butter or a tattoo healing balm. For the first night, we’d also recommend wrapping the tattoo lightly with cling film, but just continue to keep the tattoo clean with frequent gentle washes and continue to keep it well moisturised and your tattoo will be fully healed within a couple of weeks.
Fresh tattoos should not be exposed to the sun or sunbeds, you should refrain from baths and swimming while it heals and – though it can feel itchy – it’s super important to refrain from picking at or scratching your new tattoo.
Yes, absolutely! Simply head over to our contact page, fill out the form – be sure to let us know the dates you’re looking to join us – and we’ll be back in touch as soon as possible, to discuss further.
