What would you consider your signature style?
I tattoo a style called Sak (tattoo) Yant (mantra) which is an ancient Asian tradition dating back almost 1,000 years; although the original mantras are from the sacred Vedic texts which are over 3,000 years old. The tattoo designs are sacred script and imagery with the magical powers of the mantra cast into them through a powerful chanting ceremony that I perform each time I tattoo. The purpose is to give the wearer the protection or charm of the mantra to carry with them forever.
Tell us about your experience and influences:
I’ve always been obsessed with tattooing as an art form. I remember collecting tattoo magazines as a teenager growing up in Thailand. Before social media it was the only way I could learn about different styles. I’ve been collecting tattoos on my own body for 20 years from artists from all over the world. I started tattooing 4 years ago in Chiang Mai, Thailand and I quickly realised I wanted to specialise in Sak Yant. I was lucky to get accepted to train in Bangkok with my Sak Yant Master, Arjan Tar Kongbaramee.
My earliest influences were artists like Philip Leu and Zed Le Head and then more recently Jondix and Ajahnman. I am so grateful to be able to share this sacred practice in the U.K. and be part of the Black Plague family
