What would you consider your signature style?
My approach to traditional style tattooing incorporates a combination of my illustrative background with a playful and experimental perspective to traditional work particularly with colour.
Tell us about your experience and influences:
I began my apprenticeship in 2020, learning from the amazing artists in the studio. Having previously studied illustration at NUA, I wanted to develop my technical ability and capacity for conveying narrative – through art and design – but in a different, more personal and social, format. I am inspired by the self-expression evident in most creatives, my favourite artist being Lindsey Way – who constantly finds new ways and approaches to tell stories through her work – and somehow combines skill and detail with a level of abstractness that leaves the work open to interpretation. Some of my favourite tattoo artists, who inspire me because of their refined and distinct style, include Adri Maluquer, Sascha Friederich, Faith Ray, Ellie Williams, Vencis Lam and Ethan Jones.
